40 Weeks. Well into fall, and starting to get chilly (at least for now). Only 12 more weeks left in the year??

Sept 30

Sunday was my day out with Mama Mash, but before I left, I got to witness this preciousness: an 18 month old and his blanket’s new “Very Important Lovey” status.

It’s a good thing this boy makes me laugh, because he sure gives me fits when we’re trying to get ready for school in the mornings.

The leaves are falling! One of my favorite things about living in the country is that we can leave them in the yard to pile up, play in, and just enjoy rather than bag up and get rid of like we had to do in town.

Just seeing a beautiful orange pumpkin makes me incredibly happy. Finding perfect, inexpensive ones at the store does too.

Each kindergartner comes home with a pizza box one time during the year. The box contains the book Pete’s A Pizza, a notebook journal for adding notes and pictures of each child, and the supplies to turn the child into a pizza. It was Ivy’s turn this week, and just like Henry last year, she loved doing it. She was kneaded, tossed around, covered in toppings, chased, and tickled.

Grandparents’ Day at the school. Five of their grandparents were able to go, and they put on a super cute program, then hosted them in their classrooms.

And as with any grandparent visit, there was some spoilage happening.

My mom, two of my SILs, my cousin, and a few others had a team in the Color Run on Saturday. It was COLD and AWESOME. Then a certain little girl took my headband. Isn’t she CAH-UTE?! (I know it’s dark….it was past her bedtime)
