I made it home from CA and was reunited with this smooshy face.

Henry turned 8! So, of course, we went to the dentist? All four kids got great reports, and Henry got balloons and other extra birthday goodies.

Nana’s birthday! We took goofy pictures and put them on Facebook for her (because….that’s what we do). (Also, we had to take two because Erv was napping during the first one).

Wednesdays….the only days I consistently get dressed in real clothes and put makeup on. It was chilly, so I wore my Alma Boheme cowl (that I bought myself for my birthday).

The big kids got off the school bus and the girls and I hung out under the tree for a while, talking about “scary” stories Ivy heard in school.

Ivy took a bunch of blurry pictures of Erv riding on Essie’s back, but this is the only clear one I have from Friday. 500 miles, DONE!

(Side note: my husband has a new HTC 1 phone, and I asked him to take a picture of me when I finished my run. It has a cool feature where you can take a short video and then choose stills from it. So, the whole time, I’m asking him to count so I could jump, and it keeps making the “picture taking noise” while I’m still on the ground. I got so frustrated, thinking my jumping and his clicking were not syncing up AT ALL. The resulting videos and pictures are pretty hilarious.)

The girls were instructed to find clothes and get dressed. Essie came downstairs with leopard print pajamas that she had never worn before. And then this happened. (SWOON)
