So, Thanksgiving came and went, which is the way I like it. The month of December, for our family, is all about travelling and Christmas after Christmas after Christmas, so I like Thanksgiving to be low-key. I don’t like to travel for it anymore. Our kids have 8 grandparents, and many many great-grandparents, and for Christmas, we’re expected to see them all. Which is good, of course…they all need to see their grandkids, but it makes for a stressful and very busy December. This coming weekend is the first Christmas of at least five, if not six Christmases, and the first of four Christmas weekends. I have made a rule that we will always be home on Christmas morning, just so I feel like I have SOME control over SOME aspect of the travel schedule. And it’s always nice to be home with the kids on Christmas morning, as a family.

Add all of these Christmases to the fact that I’m now about 23 weeks pregnant and have lost my mind. Literally…I’m so forgetful right now that I forgot that Henry has school during one of the trips we’re planning to take. Of course he does…he’s been in school four months and goes every Monday to Friday. Why didn’t I consider that when making our plans? Your guess is as good as mine. That’s just one example of MANY. I’m trying to regain brain control….maybe when the kids are all 18 and up…

What are you doing for Christmas this year?
