I learned what not to do today. I have a show tonight at my sister-in-law’s house (all of my SILs are awesome to be among the first to host shows for me!!) and I spent a good part of the morning getting everything organized and ready. While I was doing this, my two big darlins were “on an adventure” in the living room. Apparently, part of that adventure involved reading a book on horseback.

They were also undoing the cleaning that I’ve spent the week chipping away at, and dumping all of the books off of the bookshelf, and the memory games out of their boxes.

So that’s what I won’t be doing from now on: getting ready for my shows while the kids are awake and unsupervised!

Now the big two are up in their rooms for “quiet time” (unfortunately, there isn’t much napping going on these days) while I write this and watch last week’s Grey’s Anatomy. As soon as I’m done, I’m going to get the car loaded so all I have to do later is get prettified and jewelried up.

Of course, this Sunday is Valentine’s Day. T. is great at Valentine’s Day–yesterday, he had flowers, a bear, chocolates, and bath goodies delivered! But I don’t know what we’ll actually do on the day…we don’t have a babysitter, and are going to church to meet our Secret Valentines, so maybe our whole gang will just go to lunch afterward or something. But tonight, I’ll get the ladies tonight some pretty jewels to wear on their Valentines dates.

Anyway, I hope everybody has a great, romantic day!
