Elaine of Miss Elaine-ous Life and Loukia of LouLou’s Views have opened up this month’s Old School Blogging link-up, and it’s all about Pop Culture. I LOVE POP CULTURE! This was a lot of fun. It’s open for 10 more days, so you should play along, too!

1.  What was one of your favorite shows as a kid?  Why?

I loved The New Mickey Mouse Club with Britney, Justin, and Christina (along with the other poor souls that didn’t launch careers like they did), I remember watching it every day, sitting on the couch, while my brothers probably made fun of me (but watched, too).

2. Which actress(es) do you see on the red carpet and kinda wish you could be for a day (or three)?

I would love to be Jennifer Garner for a few days, although, aside from being married to Ben Affleck, I’m afraid her life would be a lot like mine (albeit, much more “comfortable”). I would also kind of like to be Rachel Zoe for a day (and no more), just to see what it’s like to have nothing more to worry about except which outrageously-priced, inappropriate-for-every-occasion-except-being-her-son outfit to dress her toddler son in.

3.  Which actor do you wish you could, um… hang out with? 😉

I’ve always loved Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr, and Joseph Gordon Levitt, and wouldn’t mind spending some time with any of them. Ahem. Oh, and I’ve had a crush on Tim Curry (circa Rocky Horror Picture Show) since about fourth grade, when my mom bought me the VHS for Christmas.

4. What is one (or two or some) of your favorite movies that you have seen in the last few years?

This one is hard, yo. My memory ain’t what it used to be, what with having four kids that regularly suck my brains and all. But, I do know that I loved Les Miserables, The Muppets, The Hunger Games, and…yeah, I’m all tapped out.

5. Who is one celebrity out there now that you could totally do without? That you wish would just disappear?

Um, Rachel Zoe? I used to watch her show, actually, and still have it set to record on my DVR. I just can’t really bring myself to watch her anymore. But really, I mean, Lindsey Lohan. Come on. Go away. (I feel so bad saying that! Everybody deserves a 784th chance, I say.) (Not really. Please don’t write about her anymore, anyone.)

6. Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who? What did you say/do when you met them?

I’ve met a couple at Blissdom in the last two years. There was the cast of Suburgatory this year, and Rascall Flats last year. I also met the awesome Swedish band The Sounds one year at the Warped Tour. I had no idea what to say to any of them, so I probably didn’t say anything. I shook their hands and gave them a dorky smile, I’m sure of that.

7. Which shows do you look forward to watching every week?

I only have a few that I have time for these days, in the 2-3 hours between the kids going to bed and my own bedtime. I always keep up with Project Runway, The Voice, Glee, and American Idol. I used to watch Dexter, Mad Men, Nurse Jackie, So You Think You Can Dance and a million others religiously. Maybe someday I’ll have more time…when my kids are grown and flown?
