Just ten short months ago, I was dragging my then-five year old into the school. He didn’t want to go, and he certainly didn’t want me to leave him there.

Wednesday morning, I dropped him off for the last day of kindergarten. He was infinitely more confident, only needing his kiss on the cheek and a “have fun! See you at 2:00!”

He sang the songs, performed the motions, even kept cool when his cap got knocked off of his head.

I’m so proud of my oldest boy. He made me a mom, and continues to amaze me every day.

Happy graduation, Henry!

You are going to ROCK first grade.

Ten short months ago, I was dropping Ivy off at preschool and trying not to cry while she ran off and played, never looking back.

Last Friday, I took her in to that class for the very last time.

I really didn’t think she would participate in the program songs….she’s painfully shy sometimes and gets embarrassed pretty easily.

But, she wowed me.

Okay, maybe the motions were a little smaller than some others in her class, but she did them.

Ivy, you’ve grown and learned so much this year, and I am SO proud of you.
