I’ve already covered the first half of 2011: the first part of the year was TOO exciting for me. Much, much too exciting. Thankfully, the next three months were low-key. July, August, and September were exciting again, but this time, in a GOOD WAY.

In July,

We celebrated the Fourth in a way that only families with small children can (with non-noisy fireworks and lots and lots of marshmallows)

Ervin, my parents, and I went to the gigantic annual jewelry conference. Okay, I went to the conference and the other three stayed close by. It was too soon to spend a week away from the baby. And also…there was a LOT of pumping involved,

We celebrated two very special little girls’ birthdays (the 2nd and the 4th, to be exact),

And lo and behold! Ervin turned four months old, and the little stinker started rolling over.

In August,

We visited the zoo,

Essie had surgery to correct her tongue tie,

Ervin started on solids and turned five months old,

Ivy became a ballerina,

Henry started kindergarten and Ivy started preschool (SIGH),

And finally, in September,
We made a big deal about Labor Day, just like my family always does,
Oh, and Little Big Man turned six months old. How could I forget?!
Whew! That made me tired just thinking of all the things we did in a few short weeks.
