I started this post a couple of days ago, but my little netbook (the one I blog on) was giving me major headaches. It would randomly shut off and restart while I was in the middle of something. Over and over and over. I was sure it was some kind of virus, or problem with Chrome, or something. Okay, “headache” is a complete understatement. BUT, my husband, who is a heckuva lot more computer savvy than me (another understatement) was playing around with it and figured out that it was the lid of the netbook. Every time I adjusted the angle of the screen a little bit, BOOM. Shut off. Because apparently,  it has been dropped one too many times (thanks, Erv!). So, I am NOT MOVING THE SCREEN.

Jamie from Chosen Chaos tagged me in this 11 questions game, and since I’ve been totally slacking lately on the awards that other bloggers have graciously given me (sorry Paul and Deborah!), I decided that I would finally reciprocate…and also maybe tag the ones that gave me awards. And hope they don’t hate me.

So, I am going to answer Jamie’s 11 questions, and make up 11 of my own for 11 other bloggers. Yay!

Here are the rules:

You must post these rules.
Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
Answer the questions the “tagger” listed for you in his/her post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
Choose 11 people to tag and link to them in the post.
Let each blogger know that you have tagged them.

These were Jamie’s questions for me:
1. What’s the best concert you’ve seen? I’ve been to a lot of concerts, and I don’t think any of them were bad. But, I LOVED seeing Green Day in Kansas City (they put on a fantastic show) and I’ve seen Ani Difranco six or eight times (I’ve lost count) and she was amazing each and every time.

2. What are the must have pizza toppings? My favorite FAVORITE pizza is a Pizza Hut pan crust barbecue beef. Second is probably barbecue chicken from the local pizza place. And sometimes I like to get canadian bacon with pineapple. Oh my, now I’m hungry.

3. What’s your identifying mark… think Goldie Hawn in Overboard. I think that would be my “Jewel Tooth”. That’s what my high school boyfriend called it…you know the singer Jewel, and how she has that eye tooth that sticks out farther than the rest? Yeah, I’ve got it too. I’m rocking it just like her…or at least, that’s what I tell myself.

4. When and what makes you feel pretty? Not necessarily getting dressed up (that makes me more uncomfortable than anything) but putting on real clothes (instead of yoga pants) and doing my hair and makeup. It only happens a couple of times a week.

5. What’s your favorite meal of the day? I keep thinking breakfast….maybe because for me, it’s the least stressful. This does NOT include feeding my kids breakfast (that’s hectic and annoying) but I know what I’m going to eat every day, so it’s easy. I also really like dinner…especially when we go out (which isn’t very often).

6. Do you clean your house before your Mom comes to visit?  Why or why not? Only if other people (besides my mom) are coming too. My mom doesn’t care what our house looks like…or at least doesn’t make too many remarks about it.

7. What was your first car? A Toyota Tercel that was a hand-me-down from my LITTLE BROTHER (aka the baby of the family). It was blue. I loved it.

8. When you finally grow up, what do you want to do? I’ve always wanted to be a hair stylist. Or professional cake taster. Or….secret shopper.

9. If you lived just by yourself, with no one else to care for what would you have for dinner? Pizza or  frozen dinners. Or take out. I only cook now because I have to.

10.You’ve just been offered an all expenses paid trip to anywhere with anyone — where are you going and who are you taking? I would go to Italy with my hubs. It would be our better-late-than-never honeymoon.

11. What is your favorite quote? I don’t really have any inspirational quotes that I have memorized or anything, so I’ll just say that it would be any line from Empire Records.

But guess what?! While I was sitting on this post, someone else tagged me, too!

The lovely Farrah from The Three Under linked me up, and because I heart her, I’m going to answer her questions as well (keep in mind that she has a toddler and twins).

1. Where is your favorite place in the world to vacation? I haven’t been to all that many places, but I have been to Disney World twice, and that was a lot of fun (both in middle school and as a parent). I would really like to visit Hawaii some day, too.
2. If you went to the doc and were told at your ultrasound you were pregnant with (surprise!) twins- what would be the first words out of your mouth? HOLY SH*T.  WHAT?! OHMIGODOHMIGODOHMIGOD. Are you sure?! (keep in mind, this would be children #5 and 6).
3. If you had a twin, what would want their name to be? Hansa. Get it?? Hansa and Greta?! BAHAHAHA.  I crack myself up.
4. Would you want an identical twin? Would you dress alike? I think it would be pretty cool. But right now, as a 31 year old? No, I probably wouldn’t dress like her.
5. What’s a piece of advice you would tell your best friend if she just told you she’s about to have twins (in addition to her other children)? Let me come over and we’ll get your freezer stocked with meals. And also, let’s make a standing, weekly date for coffee/play time and I’ll hold the babies.
6. Besides being a fantastic mother (because you are)- what is something you have done that you are proud of? Even though I haven’t used it, I am proud that I finished grad school and got my Master’s in Business. Especially since I had to do so after my first husband died and I was pregnant.
7. What do you think is the message you’re trying to send to your readers with your blog? Probably just that there are moms out there that AREN’T perfect. You know, normal ones? I’m just keeping it real, y’all.
8. Is there anything you won’t blog about? Not really…except maybe the specifics of my jewelry business.
9. What were you doing 10 years ago? I was 21, so I was totally living it up in college. Ha!
10. What is your guiltiest pleasure? Britney Spears’ music.
11. Who are three bloggers you think everyone should be reading? There are way too many to choose, but off the top of my head…Mommy Shorts (also keeping it real), Kludgy Mom (because she gives excellent blogging advice, among other things) and Namaste By Day (because she’s given me great information about food allergies in the past weeks). There are so many more I want to list…..
Now that you’re sick to death of reading about me, here are the bloggers I’m tagging!

Deborah from Mannahatta Mamma
Paul from The Ossington Kitchen
Jen from Just Jennifer
Kimberly from All Work and No Play Makes Mommy Go Something Something
Jenn from Fox in the City

And these are my questions for them (I never promised to be very original…)
1. What kids’ show do you detest, and which one do you secretly watch when your kids aren’t around?
2.  If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
3. If you could start over completely with a brand new Facebook account and ditch the one you have, would you have the same number of friends, fewer friends, or more friends?
4. If you could retire tomorrow (or if all of your kids were in school), what would you do with your days?
5. What toy from your childhood do you secretly wish you could still play with?
6. What is your favorite movie of all time?
7. If you could spend a week with any celebrity and couldn’t leave his/her side the whole time, who would you want to spend it with?
8. What is the first thing you would say to that celebrity?
9. Do you have any major regrets in your life?
10. If you could choose any (other) profession, what would it be?
11. What song do you crank up the loudest in your car and sing along to?

I hope you’ll play along!
