My 52 Weeks of Pinterest Challenge project this week was super duper easy and has turned out to be really good for me to have around.

It was this:

All you have to do to make this wipe-off menu/to-do list board is find a piece of scrapbook paper that you like or goes with your kitchen decor and put it into a frame.I used a Sharpie pen to write the days of the week directly on the paper, because I figure that you can easily switch it out if you need/want a new piece. The original post talks about using vinyl letters on the glass, which would be good too, just a little more expensive.

I’ve never been a menu planner before, and this was my first week trying it, but I thought it would be good for me to know what I’m making for dinner in advance and getting the ingredients I need during a weekly shopping trip.

Except my husband had to go and throw a wrench in that plan. He went out of town this week, so the kids and I were the only dinner eaters. I still made a couple of things from my menu, but some are better left for when we have our whole family here.

This is what mine looks like…I know it’s not a great picture, but I’ve already got it hanging up. Kind of a cool reflection, though, no?

Oh, and just for fun…my two oldest kids always ask lots of interesting questions on the way to school in the morning.

This morning, Henry asked “When October is over, do the monsters and zombies go to sleep?”

Yes, Henry. Yes, they do.

Have a great week and let me know if you’ve found anything fun to do on Pinterest lately!
