Now remember, we have to leave before it gets dark and the scary stuff comes out.

I had bought a Groupon for Worlds of Fun, and T., the big two and I went on the last weekend of the season, Halloween weekend.
I was very nervous, because as much as the big two talk about Halloween (like, all.year.long.), they don’t like anything that’s too scary. Last year we went, and saw some people dressed up as Halloween characters (pretty spooky ones), and they may have followed us a little bit.
Henry and Ivy were NOT excited to see those people again.
And we didn’t, really.
The kids had a lot of fun riding on rides (especially in Planet Snoopy, or “Planet Spooky” this time of year).

Shoulder dancing to some Halloween music.

The Caterpillar/Worm Something-Or-Other, Ivy’s first request after the Carousel.
I probably had my eyes closed here behind my sunglasses. I’m not a good spinner.

Holding hands in the “Kite Eater” ride. Swoon.

The Kite Eater. It goes up and drops down in short bursts. So does your stomach. These two seriously enjoyed it.

This thing spun around really fast. Henry and I sat it out. T. and Ivy had enough fun for all of us.

I will say that as nice as it was to not have the toddler and baby with us, it was still a little difficult to only have two adults. We couldn’t ride any “adult” rides that the kids couldn’t go on.

Also, since it was the last weekend before Halloween, there were SWARMS of teenagers going in as we were going out, right before the “scary stuff” started.

We hightailed it out of there.
