An Easy Halloween

We had a low key Halloween this year. Two trunk-or-treats, a few houses, supper at a local pizza place, buckets full of candy, and a movie or two when we got home.

Costumes were not stressed about, school party snacks weren’t pinterest-worthy, but everyone was happy.

I do so love Halloween.

Halloween Through the Years

Yeah, I’m still writing about Halloween. Because you know what? I think it’s super adorable to see my kids dressed up through the years and when I post one, I start thinking about them all.

Of course, I can’t find them all because my photo organization is nonexistent.

But I can share […]

Halloween Costumes: 2014 Edition

While Friday morning was a bit of a disaster, with costume elements missing all over the place and everyone getting to school late, we made it and it turned out to be a pretty awesome day.

I actually loved the kids’ costume choices this year. It would’ve been awesome for them […]

Project 365: Week 44

This week led up to Halloween plus Drug-free week activities, and then POOF! November. Oct. 26 I actually did something spontaneous with the whole family on Sunday! (that never happens) I looked up a local city guide, saw that there was a ballet/dance Halloween production going on that afternoon, bought […]

Keeping a Gluten Free Kid Healthy at Holiday Parties

Tomorrow is Halloween, as you are aware. And if your school is anything like ours, your kids will be celebrating with more parties and treats than they know what to do with. This was one of the reasons I was nervous about sending my gluten free daughters to school. […]

Project 365: Week 43

We’re gearing up for Halloween, but not as much as everybody else, I guess…we went to the pumpkin patch this weekend, but nobody dressed up for parties or anything. And is it weird that I’m sad that I won’t be dressing up? I mean, I guess I could, but we’re […]

Project 365: Week 37

I was in Cleveland last weekend for Bloggy Conference, and I think I’m finally recovered. Sept. 7 My lunch notes are not Pinterest-worthy. (But my kids like them?) Sept. 8 Kansas in the fall. Sept. 9 Sept. 10 Can you see his expression? That’s called The Toddler […]

Project 365 (Week 44)

We had quite the week, ushering out October (No! Come back!).

Oct. 27

Loooong fun day on Sunday, that included a “Kitty Cat Crawl” family fun walk (a one mile walk with a scavenger hunt and stations that turned the kids into cats), and then a visit to a pumpkin patch.

Oct. 28

The […]
