So, you may have noticed that I’ve been posting a lot here this week….once a day, in fact. This is strange, I know….but I decided last weekend to take part in NaBloPoMo. It’s National Blog Posting Month, which is basically where you post on your blog every day in the month of November. When I signed up, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But, I’ve made it though the first week, so I think I might be okay. Hope you don’t get too sick of me.

Anyway, Alison tagged me last week (the week before?) to share five random things about myself. Here goes nothing.

1. I’m an online shopping fanatic. We live in the country. The closest Wal-Mart is 20 minutes away, and the closest Target is 40. Plus, being a gluten free household, to get all of our groceries would require several stops. So I take advantage of Amazon Subscribe and Save TO THE FULLEST EXTENT. Also, trying on clothes and shoes with kids is no fun at all. So I don’t do it. I buy online and hope for the best….most of my clothes come from Zulily, Old Navy, and Stitch Fix. Maybe when Erv is in school and I have alone time (WHAT), I’ll be able to go shopping. Alone. (WHAAAT)

2. I love my minivan. I used to drive a Suburban, and that was cool, you know, for a mom of four kids. But it was expensive, so when it crapped out, we looked at other options. We found our van with alllll the bells and whistles and I. LOVE. IT. I don’t even care what you have to say about minivans. Don’t like ‘em, don’t drive ‘em. Meanwhile, my kids and I will be cruising with the Kidz Bop blasting and the automatic sliding doors ready for action.

3. When I’m driving my minivan, especially on the dirt road to school, I’m thinking about all of the pictures I could be taking. I rarely see something in time to pull over and take it, but I’m always thinking about it. There are, surprisingly, a lot of photo opportunities out in the country, amidst the soybeans, cows, and tractors.

4. I love going to concerts. I don’t go to them nearly as much as I used to, and the types of concerts I go to now are quite different than high school and college, but I still love the experience. I saw Blink 182 at least five times, and the same for Ani Difranco (although, I think she was more like six or seven). I’ve seen Veruca Salt, Garth Brooks (in elementary school, if my memory is correct), Weezer a couple of times, Green Day (SO GOOD), Bad Religion, AWOL Nation and lots, lots more.

5. Each of my pregnancies were harder on me than the last. The more kids I had, the less energy, and by the time Ervin was born, the “poor pregnant lady” was no longer pampered. BUT, I actually loved maternity clothes (they’ve come a long way, baby) and felt very comfortable in my own pregnant skin (minus the aches and pains, of course).

So tell me something random about yourself now!
