I worried and stressed and gave myself anxiety about the Warrior Dash (as you know), and ended up having a great (albeit very cold) time. I knew I’d be doing it again next year, but I didn’t want to wait that long.

That’s when I found out about the Dirty Girl Mud Run, in Kansas City on June 22. Just like the Warrior Dash, this one has mud and water and obstacles, with the expectation that everyone helps each other out. The difference? Dirty Girl is for WOMEN ONLY.

How fun is that?!

It’s untimed and uncompetitive.

So far, my sister-in-law (the one that did the Warrior Dash with us) is signed up to do it with me. My mom, unfortunately, will be taking my kids that weekend on a little trip, or she’d be there, too.

But I would love to run with some of my Kansas City friends! And, I’ve got a discount code, just for you (ONLY good for the Kansas City race).

Here are the details:

When: June 22. Go to the website and pick your heat…we’re signed up for the 9:30 am wave, but they go all day.

Where: National Agricultural Center & Hall Of Fame, 630 Hall of Fame Drive, Bonner Springs, KS 66012

Why: Because there are going to be a lot of women there, getting dirty and kicking A$$. Girl power at its finest.

Use discount code DGKCBLOGGUEST for 20% off of the registration fee, and let me know if you’re going…I’d love to see you there!

Of course, you’ll get a race bib, an awesome t-shirt to help you do a little modest bragging (because obviously, you’ll have earned the right), plus a Dirty Girl charm necklace. But, the most important thing you’ll get? An amazing experience and an incredible sense of accomplishment.

Part of the proceeds go to breast cancer charity organizations in each community, and if you’re a cancer survivor (of any type), you can register FOR FREE. Just choose “cancer survivor” during Step 4 of the registration process.

And if you’re not in the KC area, there are a ton of other races around the country. Check them out!

I was given a complimentary race registration in exchange for writing about the event before and after it happens. My excitement and opinions are all my own.
