I can’t believe April is half over. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks here, with hazing for the Mamavation Mom finalists every day, school, crappy weather, real 5Ks. If you’re around tomorrow night from 7-8:30 (central), I’d love you to hop over to twitter (with the #mamavation hashtag) for the big announcement and cheer me on if I do make the cut or let me cry on your shoulder if I don’t. There’re also prizes involved.

I got to spend the day with my girl, MamaMash, before she moves to Texas this coming weekend.

Part of the hazing process for the finalists is getting 10,000 steps in each day, so we’ve all been wearing our pedometers religiously and strapping on those sneakers. I don’t have a neighborhood to walk around in, so when it’s nice, I’ve been taking Diver out in the yard for a walk and chasing the kids around.

I’m kind of horrified at this next picture….apparently it’s the only picture I took all day. And I didn’t realize it until the next day. We were asked by @bookieboo (CEO, matriarch, general badass of mamavation) to tweet a sweaty picture after our hazing workouts. This was a particularly tough workout day. I’m making the picture really small. i apologize…you’ll never be able to unsee it.

It was a really fancy week for the smallest girl child. She wore at least one tutu every day (but most days she layered them or changed into new ones repeatedly).

You know how sometimes, kids will come up with a brand new game and then want to play it over and over and over? EB’s game of the day was She Sticks Her Tongue Out and I Squish Her Cheeks.

And then we got my swag bag for the Color Me Rad 5K that I did on Saturday morning, and the kids went through it. Of course.
