I don’t know about anybody else, but for me, the week just flew by.

Jan. 6

We had a quiet Sunday. I just can’t help taking pictures of this boy in his high chair; these days, we have a lot of fun sitting next to each other.

Jan. 7

Do you remember when Ivy went shopping with my mom at the Jayhawk store? Well, she got a KU Dream Lite and Erv fell completely in love with it. So much so that we had to steal it from Ivy’s bed after Ivy went to sleep. He slept with it for two nights before we could go get him his own.

Jan. 8

So, the next day we already had a date planned with MamaMash and Monkey, and we came home with two more Dream Lites (thank goodness). And we also had a LOT of fun on the slides (by “we”, I mean “them”, of course).

Side note: it appears as if we have passed the stage in which Erv will climb up but not come down. He has definitely figured out the coming down part.

Jan. 9

I built this (mostly). It was a pain in the ass (completely).

Jan. 10

I am just loving this age with Erv. He’ll be two in a couple of months, and right now, when he’s not being super clingy from not enough sleep or whatever, he is so easy to amuse. He’s a happy boy in general, and it’s so much fun.

I had taught him how to puff out his cheeks and then push the air out and make a funny noise, so he came up to me and pushed on his cheeks to make me do it. He thinks it’s hysterical.

E.B. won’t let me trim her bangs, so I’m just trying to keep it out of her eyes at this point. I have no idea if she’ll let them grow long enough to not have to worry about them every day….but it’ll be a while if she does.

Jan. 12

I asked Ivy to get my camera so I could get the memory card out and post that last picture. She’s the only kid I trust to carry it carefully. Of course, she wanted to take some pictures, and knows how (to at least focus and take it, anyway).

I ended up with many pictures of the bee show on TV, her brothers, and the dogs. Here’s the one of Henry playing Minecraft (check out the concentration!). Not bad for a five year old, right?
