Welcome back to #iPPP! If you’re not familiar, iPhone Photo Phun is the link-up that Mama Mash and I host every Tuesday night at 9PM Central (and stays open until midnight Friday). The bags are packed. The supplies are labeled.
The first homework assignment of the year (a name puzzle that came in the mail yesterday) is complete, and ready to be handed in.
The school clothes shopping trip with grandma and grandpa is done and the first day outfit is chosen and laid out.
The lunches are packed and the notes are written.
The sides and back are trimmed.
The teachers have been met and classrooms revealed.
The mama emotions are bubbling over and so is the kid excitement. In a few hours, we will officially have a first grader and a kindergartner in our house.
School starts TOMORROW!

Hope everyone has a wonderful first day. I get so emotional on the first days… it means they are another year older. We still have some shopping to take care off and another week and a half before it's back to school for us.
Enjoy your week and a half! I think what makes me the most emotional is that they don't want me to leave them there. they're just so sad!

So bittersweet! Next year, I'll have a first grader, second grader and preschooler. HOLY GEEZ. Thank goodness have a year to prepare for that.
I hope they both have a wonderful day! I’ll have a senior this year and it seems only yesterday he was just starting kindergarten! So soak it up, mama!
Oh, I am! I hope they have a good day, too….they were sad to see me go this morning.
GRETA! I don't like this post! I'm teary eyed and my girls won't head off to kindergarten for another 2 years. yikes they grow up too fast….sllllllllllow down!
Oh my gosh, Kerry. I don't like it either! If I could somehow keep them home and not end up with them here for the rest of their lives, I would do it. But I'm not a homeschooler and they fight too much when they get bored. SO. 🙂
As much work as it is, I kind of love back to school time – I've always loved school supplies and the excitement of finding out who teachers are picking an outfit for the first day. Only a little over a week until we're back at it here!

Must say, before homeschooling, it was truly my least fav day of the year!
Ugh. I hate it. Kills me. But then they get home and tell me about it, and it makes it a lot better. 🙂
I miss buying school supplies every year. 🙁 Back to school used to be the most exciting part of my year. I hope everyone is in bed early tonight. 🙂

Oh, going back to school always made me SO nervous. Even living in a tiny town, with a class of, like 30!

Haha, it's true! He wasn't a fan of kindergarten even, so….it'll be a long 11 more years. Things went okay yesterday for the first day….much better today, the second day. 🙂
