So, today is Friday, and Just Jennifer is doing her first monthly TGIF link-up.

It’s been a long week, though. Three kids have had fevers this week (two today), hubs has been gone or working outside a lot of the week, Ivy started (and finished) her first full week of kindergarten, which led to a lot of extra whining, and I’m just pretty much exhausted.

So, what do I have to be happy about? Well, do you remember when I did Run. Blog. Give.? I walked/jogged miles with my mom, and we sent the mileage to Jamie of Chosen Chaos (a master organizer), who, along with dozens of other bloggers and non-bloggers, raised a lot of money for various charities.

Anyway, that project was, like, three months long and was AWESOME in terms of accountability for me. I knew that I’d be sending Jamie my miles every Sunday, so I actually did them. A lot of them.

But, as soon as it was over, I lost my motivation. I told Jamie that, and Jen agreed that we needed something new. Jamie came up with Adopt A Pantry.

For every day between September 1 and November 17 (just in time for Thanksgiving), we’ll donate one non-perishable food item to a local food pantry for every day that we exercise. Running, walking, biking, kickboxing, Leslie Sansone videos, whatever.

I’ve got a local 5K run/walk the last Saturday in September, and the Color Run exactly one week after that, so I NEED some motivation.

Thanks for coming up with this, Jamie and Jen!
