This week was full of sewing, rain, and soul-healing with a friend.

April 29

There was a family event at a farm in KC that got rained out, so we went to eat out and to explore Party City. Because that, my friends, is an event in and of itself. I was holding Erv when I took this picture. It makes my heart all gooey.

April 30

Speaking of gooey hearts, here are my boys, having a moment on the trampoline.

May 1

I made some t-shirt dresses on May Day (I mean….who doesn’t?). This was Ivy’s. It’s very….90s. But she loves it.

May 2

Ballet day, once again. Only two more weeks until summer. Eeep!

May 3

On Ballet Day (also know as The Day We Cram A Week’s Worth Of Errands Into One Afternoon), Ivy and I went to the fabric store and picked up some more dress fabric. The next day, I made a couple more dresses for the girla, and this was one of them. I love this little birdie print, and the orange/green/yellow combo.

May 4

Friday was a hard day. It would have been my brother’s 36th birthday. One bright spot, however, was cuddle time with my preschooler, in which we discussed the menu for the coming week, and her help writing it out. She suggested “pasketti” on Thursday.

May 5

I wasn’t feeling well this week, physically or emotionally, but do you know what’s good for the soul? Drinks and sushi with a great friend.

(By the way, this Red Dragon sushi? It was a work of art.)

What did you do this week?
